Drinking beer and playing retro Spanish board games, cards and giant Jenga in Spanish - is there a better way to learn the lingo?
Learn your "serpientes" (snakes) from your "escaleras" (ladders) and fun banter to bring down your opponents as you race through Barcelona Monopoly, vintage board games and more in this fun, social Spanish open class for beginners and seasoned learner alike. The Stripey Spanish crew will get you speaking Spanish from the get go!
Here's a glimpse of the magic
From 6.15pm Arrive pick up a drink and settle in with a mini challenge.
6.30pm Introduction to the lingo with a fun team activity.
6.45pm Get stuck into games to build basic vocabulary (think pictionary), simply formats to practise turn taking and banter (like Spanish Snakes and Ladders, Spanish card games, Giant Jenga) and practise reading or saying simple sentences with group or board games Spanish Monopoly and more using your newly gained language skills.
8.15pm Show off your new language skills to the class with a recap and get feedback from the Spanish crew (the show-off bit).

This Spanish night is designed to help complete beginners and those with the basics (less than a year's study) get to grips with some of the lingo. No prior knowledge or experience of Spanish is needed.
If you're an intermediate or advanced level speaker you'll have fun and practice your existing skills but if you want to leave with tonnes of new vocab you might prefer one of our events planned with intermediate and advanced level speakers in mind.
