THE STRIPEY SPANISH SOCIAL LEVEL 5 COURSE IS MADE UP OF TWO FIVE-WEEK UNITS:

WHAT YOU'LL GET:

  • On two weeks of the course you´ll enjoy our social, Spanish event classes getting you to practise the language while interacting socially as a class. See below for details.

Event 1: Prepare a Mexican celebration - crafts and margaritas

If you love crafts this night of exploring the artefacts of Mexico will be a treat.  We'll discover the technique of a simple home project while exploring the stories behind a mexican craft over margaritas to delight the senses. 

Event 2: Complete a Spanish film project

Use the three of past tenses learnt so far to practice with storytelling, vividly tell a story of through short-film in a unique skill-building session at the end of this five-week unit and the culmination of the A2 level ending in a glittering film festival event.

By the end of Level 5 you will:

  • Describe life histories of important historical figures.

  • Describe events in the past that occur within storylines.

  • Use a range of reactions and interaction perfecting intonation and accent.

The grammar

  • Use the imperfect tense and understand the differences with other past tenses 

  • Use double object pronouns

The vocabulary

  • Film critique and discussion of themes

  • Giving opions and discussing characterisation and emotions.

  • Temporal markers.

  • Flavours and influences.

  • Descriptions of stories in the past
