¡Con la izquierda para que se repita! ¡Salud!

In Venezuela, there’s a tradition of making a toast with your left hand as a way to promise to repeat the occasion.

Barriga llena, corazón content

When your stomach is full, you’re happy –everybody is happy (and safer). Don’t get hangry.

Sobremesa

This is a very important moment in the Spanish speaking world. ‘Sobremesa’ is the time you spend talking, sharing a coffee or a sweet talk with the people you had the meal. So after eating, you’re not supposed to just stand up and leave – you’ll have to stay. It can last for 30 minutes or until the world's end – seriously, two to three hours easily.

A buen hambre, no hay pan duro

Beggars can't be choosers – it can be applied to any life situation. When it comes to food literally is just eat what you have.
